More Pictures of Snow
These are some of the little cedars we dug up. Out of the snow, not the ground.
This is Gracie sitting at her favourite spot on the couch. This was yesterday.

This is the view out of one of my windows.
These are trees being weighed down by the snow.
Snow- and Lots More Snow
It has been snowing non-stop for three days! There is more than a foot of snow. School is cancelled because the roads are covered. The snow is so deep that we had to go out and dig up our garden to find our plants. And we have little cedar trees that were getting crushed. It felt good to save them. But it's kind of weird- part way through saving the trees I realized that it was only 7:30 am... :)

Those are the same trees. Wow!

The Hand-Book of Needlework
Today I was looking up how people used to crochet in the 1800's, and I stumbled upon this book! It is called The Hand-Book of Needlework. It was published in 1842. It tells you about embroidery, knitting, crocheting, tapestry, and other things like that. It also has a section on materials. I think it's great! It has instructions for how to make things, and it tells you a lot of facts. If you are interested...

CD Holder
Yesterday I really wanted to make something so I just made this. When you take CD's out of the radio, you just put them on there. It took less than half of an hour to make. The yarn is darker than the camera makes it look.

Cross Stitch
I finished this cross stitch rose on the 15th and I haven't said anything about it yet. It is the second thing I ever cross stitched. I think it looks really good!
The first thing I ever made was finished in January. It's called Waiting for Santa.

New Crocheted Stuff!
Yesterday and the day before I was crocheting. A lot. I made three things! The first was a purse. Even though I don't really use them, I made one because they're super easy to make. The picture make it look kind of weird though...
I also made two mail boxes for putting on doors! I thought of it because my sister, Emma, and I will borrow Odysseys to listen to and now we can just drop them off in a nice safe place! It's fun checking for mail. :)

New Adventures in Odysseys!
On our trip, we went to the Christian book store and I got two new Odyssey albums! I got album 54 and album 56- Clanging Cymbals and The Grand Design. I am so happy to have them. Whenever I get new ones, I listen to them all day until they're done. Well, not all day. Just until around ten something. :)

Car Cleaning and Car Trip
Hello! We (my sister, brother, dad, and me) just finished cleaning our van! Me and my brother were beating the car mats with sticks and badminton rackets. You should have seen the dust clouds! Even now I can smell the smell of dusty mats. It was really nice to come inside and smell pizzas in the oven! My mom is such a good cook. :)
Tomorrow we are going on a car trip to a big city (which isn't actually big at all, but it's big compared to what I'm used to) to just do... stuff! We go every once in a while. Oh! I have to go! It's time for yummy pizza! :)

Picture
This is a picture of an 1820's dinner dress that I really like. Well, I think it's actually a fashion plate. It's so pretty!
The Forest
This is a poem I wrote. I honestly think it's boring, but I have to say it for French, so I made it with simple, and easy to say words. I wrote a poem because I spent a really long time looking for one to say, but I couldn't find one.
The Forest
I
went to the forest today,
And
what I saw, I will say.
I
saw the trees, young and old,
And
a little stream, its water cold.
I
saw the flowers in the sun,
And
a rabbit, but only one.
I
love the forest, all year round,
For
there I hear a peaceful sound.
La Forêt
Je
suis allé à la forêt aujourd'hui,
Et
ce que j'ai vu, je vais dire.
J'ai
vu les arbres, jeunes et vieux,
Et
un petit ruisseau, son eau froide.
J'ai
vu les fleurs au soleil,
Et
un lapin, mais une seule.
J'aime
la forêt, toute l'année,
Car
il j'entends un bruit paisible.

An Inspiring Quote
This is a quote written by my friend.
I'll go where nobody's gone before,
And I'll take the hardest paths,
Not for the honour, but for the adventure.
